The Grand Sarai Hotel is set in one of the most old and remarkable buildings of the historic centre of Nafplio.

The building is believed to have been built between 1685-1715 and holds a prominent position in the old town of Nafplio due to its volume and form.

It is no coincidence that the first Court of Auditors of the Newest Greek State was hosted here 1829-1833.

Later the Greek Police was housed for several years and then until 2002 it was used as a residence.
